From the initial site survey to the first pressure test. Steps, dates and what we need from you to get started.
I want a floor build-up design
We will arrive, measure the rooms, determine floor construction heights, assess the subfloor condition and identify the heat source. Based on the floor plan and insulation, we calculate room-by-room heat loss. For new builds, the project documentation is sufficient; for renovations, we inspect beneath the existing flooring.
You will receive circuit diagrams with spacing, manifold location, control design and an itemised estimate. Nothing is hidden under "other work". If anything changes on site, we resolve it in advance and in writing.
The substrate must be level, dry and clean. We will install thermal and impact sound insulation according to the floor type, perimeter expansion tape and system board. For dry construction, distribution boards with slats are used.
Pipes or mats according to the drawings, each room with its own circuit, connected to the manifold. Before pouring, the system is pressurised and left under pressure. You will receive a protocol; no pouring takes place without it.
Anhydrite or cement screed, thickness according to the project. The screed must cure; for poured mixes this is usually weeks. During curing the system remains under pressure.
Controlled temperature ramp-up according to the screed manufacturer's specifications, residual moisture measurement and a protocol for the floor covering installer. This step is most often skipped, resulting in cracked tiles.
We will set the thermostats, zoning and the source's eutectic curve, and balance the flows. We will explain the controls and hand over the documentation: circuit drawings, protocols, manuals and warranty certificates.
After rough construction, windows and initial water and electrical installations, but before the screed. Ideally, involve us during the project phase to ensure layer compositions and heights are correct.
Laying pipes in a typical detached house takes just a few days. The waiting period for the screed to cure and the heating test is longer, but these steps cannot be rushed.
Yes, for both installation and materials according to the system manufacturer. The warranty terms and duration will be provided in writing within the quotation.
Just a few details are needed. Within 24 hours on working days we will contact you, arrange a free inspection and prepare a proposal for the system composition and control tailored to your home and heat source. No obligation.
